The Saskatoon Regional Health Authority has approved a $27.5 million expansion of the Royal University Hospital’s parkade. Construction will involve adding two levels to the structure originally built in 1984 and demolishing parts of the parkade that were built in 1971 and 1976.
The Saskatoon Regional Health Authority has approved a $27.5 million expansion of the Royal University Hospital’s parkade. Construction will involve adding two levels to the structure originally built in 1984 and demolishing parts of the parkade that were built in 1971 and 1976.
The parkade is the first step towards construction of a provincial children’s hospital in Saskatchewan. Of the $27.5 million cost of the parkade, $3.1 million will come out of the budget for the children’s hospital, with the health region borrowing $24.4 million which will be recouped in parking fees.
