The City of Fredericton has awarded a $105,203 contract to Perfection Paving Ltd. to pave two sections of the New Brunswick capital’s walking and biking trails.
The contract, valued at $105,203, includes a requirement to pave a 1,650-metre stretch of the Valley Trail along the Woodstock Road from the Hanwell Road intersection to the Town and Country Motel. The scope of work also includes paving 350 metres of the South Riverfront Trail from the Lighthouse on the Green to the pedestrian bridge at the foot of Carleton Street.
The city stated in a press release that Perfection Paving submitted the lowest of three bids.
The trails are open to cyclists, pedestrians and people using motorized wheelchairs.
