The City of Toronto announced this week it plans to install thermal, energy-efficient double-pane windows at City Hall this week.
The current single-pane windows are more than 50 years old.
The city says the new windows will resolve the issue of condensation caused by the single-pane windows.
The project includes the installation of a special film on the windows of designated floors, in accordance with Toronto’s “bird-friendly guidelines” for windows.
The construction crew will begin preparatory work this week and the project is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
