Beginning March 1, 2011 all Terasen Gas and Fortis companies in British Columbia will be renamed FortisBC.
Beginning March 1, 2011 all Terasen Gas and Fortis companies in British Columbia will be renamed FortisBC. The only difference natural gas customers will notice is the corporate name on their monthly bill.However signage, uniforms and vehicles will all be changed to reflect the new branding.
Terasen Gas was acquired in 2007 by Fortis, though Fortis BC was already a presence in southeastern British Columbia at the time.Though Terasen Gas, Terasen Gas (Vancouver Island), Terasen Gas (Whistler) and FortisBC will operate under the one name they will remain separate legal entities.
