Renovation work on BC Place almost complete

Construction work on the $458 million renovation to BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, B.C. is nearly complete. The fixed-price contract is with PCL Constructors Canada Inc.

Construction work on the $563 million renovation to BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, B.C. is nearly complete. PCL Constructors Canada Inc.is the primary contractor on the project.

The work included the erection of 36 masts and compression beams for the new retractable roof. A cable-net system supports the new fabric roof, which will be the largest of its kind in the world.

BC Place will reopen on Sept. 30, when the B.C. Lions will host their first home game in the renovated stadium against the Edmonton Eskimos.
