Nova Scotia Premier Darrell Dexter has appointed Sandra McKenzie as the deputy minister of labour and advanced education. She is currently acting deputy minister of economic and rural development and tourism, and will replace Jeff Conrad.

The Nova Scotia government announced Thursday that Premier Darrell Dexter has appointed Sandra McKenzie as the deputy minister of labour and advanced education.
McKenzie is currently acting deputy minister of economic and rural development and tourism.
She has 23 years experience in the provincial public service, serving as chief operating officer of the department of economic and rural development and tourism and on the Nova Scotia treasury and policy board.
She has a bachelor of design from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and a master’s in public administration from Dalhousie University.
Currently the deputy minister is Jeff Conrad, who will be replaced by McKenzie once the province finds a replacement for her.
