A new Ronald McDonald House is taking shape in Vancouver, B.C. The $28.8 million, 74,000 square foot facility will provide families with a comfortable residence while their children receive treatment for serious illnesses at the nearby B.C. Children’s Hospital.
A new Ronald McDonald House is taking shape in Vancouver, B.C. The $28.8 million, 74,000 square foot facility will provide families with a comfortable residence while their children receive treatment for serious illnesses at the nearby B.C. Children's Hospital.
The facility is aiming for LEED Gold certification and completion in fall 2013. The architect is mcfarlane green biggar Architecture + Design.
ITC Construction Group, the prime contractor, has donated $1.3 million in services. The B.C. Ministry of Education is contributing $13.3 million, with the rest coming from private donors.
