Three teams have been short listed to participate in the next stage of the competitive selection process to build a new 225 bed long-term care facility in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
The three teams are Integrated Team Solutions, the Plenary Group, and Willow Healthcare Partners.
Five teams responded to the Cypress Regional Health Authority Request for Qualifications, which closed October 9, 2013.
The project is a design-build-finance-maintain public-private partnership (P3) procurement model. A proponent will be chosen by spring 2014, with construction to begin in summer 2014 and reach completion by spring 2016.
“We are impressed by the number, experience, and qualifications of the teams that expressed an interest in the project and what this says about the market’s interest in doing business in Saskatchewan. We believe that this process will lead to some interesting and bold innovations in design, which will be a considerable win for the community. Moving forward with a Request for Proposal is the next important step in the delivery of a new long-term care facility for the community of Swift Current,” minister responsible for SaskBuilds Don McMorris said.
