App connecting builders to materials launches in Vancouver
TOOLBX—A driver for TOOLBX, an app that rapidly connects builders with materials, makes a delivery at a site.

VANCOUVER—TOOLBX, a platform that digitizes the construction material procurement and delivery process for residential and commercial builders and contractors, has launched in Vancouver.

The platform allows builders to source materials from any local supplier on one platform and have them delivered to sites within just two hours.

The platform’s developers believe the product could provide builders with another way to combat labour shortages and supply chain issues.

“There’s no shortage of construction software out there right now, but finding one that’s useful, that’s easy to use and helps keep our workers on the jobsite has been hard to find,” said James Young, president of West Coast Turn Key, in a press release. “Construction material procurement is a tedious process and TOOLBX is removing the pain points so we can keep our trades working versus off-site sourcing materials.”

According to TOOLBX’s developers, the app eliminates the inefficiencies associated with the offline construction material procurement. TOOLBX founder Erik Bornstein started the company after working in construction for years.

He explained the app is a single point of contact for builders and contractors to connect with materials and dedicated TOOLBX drivers deliver directly to the jobsite which means workers won’t be delayed.
