VANCOUVER, B.C. – SNC-Lavalin is off the B.C. government’s list of pre-qualified bidding teams it has asked to participate in the request for proposals (RFP) stage to design, build and finance the Broadway Subway project and the Pattullo Bridge Replacement project.
The change was made following SNC-Lavalin’s decision to withdraw from both projects’ procurement processes. SNC-Lavalin announced it planned to shift in its global corporate strategy to no longer participate in fixed-price projects.
For the Broadway Subway project, the shortlisted teams are:

The RFP for the Broadway Subway project closes in April 2020. The Province expects to select the preferred proponent by mid-2020.

So I guess when SNC is finally convicted of criminal corruption and disappears from the Canadian landscape for 10 years, there are many firms more than qualified to step up to the plate, complete the work in its entirety and no jobs will be lost at all ! Only an inexperienced 12 year old drama teacher would commit an act of obstruction of justice to prevent the criminal prosecution of these defendants so he can pretend he’s saving jobs and thus advance his political career. The real danger here is not that Trudeau will be run off the property by the wrath of the voters a few weeks from now, it’s the precedent being set by a gutless police force who refuse to charge him immediately despite the overwhelming evidence against him that is already on the public record. That, in the end, is a slap in the face of the rule of law. It doesn’t get more serious than that.
