Richardson Pioneer Ltd to build Saskatchewan grain elevator 

Richardson Pioneer Limited has announced plans to build a new high throughput grain elevator in Carmichael, Saskatchewan, located 65 km west of Swift Current. The new elevator will include 46,000 metric tonnes of storage capacity with a loop track rail design capable of loading 175 high cube rail cars. Construction began earlier this month and is expected to be completed by the fall of 2022. 

Altus Group reveals cybersecurity incident 

Altus Group Limited announced this morning that it determined yesterday it had experienced a cybersecurity incident impacting some of its information technology systems. A statement said the company took immediate action to activate its cybersecurity protocols, is notifying authorities, and has engaged with cybersecurity experts who are assisting to resolve the incident.  A client business continuity protocol has been implemented. Updates will be provided as the situation progresses and a further update will be provided on its website by 1 p.m. PDT today.  

 

Port Moody school to be replaced with upgraded facility 

The Government of B.C. is investing $32.2 million to replace Moody Elementary in Port Moody, B.C. with a new seismically safe facility. The Coquitlam School District will provide an additional $5 million toward the project and the new school is expected to be ready for students in September 2024. Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2023.
