VANCOUVER — The City of Vancouver has officially opened 138 new affordable homes at Dogwood Gardens.

The Dogwood building is located at 603 West 59th Ave. and is part of the Cambie Gardens development.

The project was completed in partnership with S.U.C.C.E.S.S and Tikva, who will co-manage the housing.

The Dogwood is the first of four affordable housing projects to open at Cambie Gardens, explains a release. Once complete, Cambie will provide 540 affordable homes.

“The need in the community has increased exponentially since we began working in affordable housing in 2008. We’re thrilled to be able to bring more safe, accessible and affordable homes to Vancouver residents,” said S.U.C.C.E.S.S CEO Queenie Choo in the release.
