HERITAGE WINNIPEG — The University of Manitoba’s Administration Building received the Institution Heritage Conservation Award at Heritage Winnipeg’s 37th Annual Preservation Awards.

WINNIPEG — The 37th annual preservation awards recently celebrated excellence in the conservation of Winnipeg’s built history.

Heritage Winnipeg’s public award ceremony took place at the Millennium Centre earlier this month.

“We are very proud of these building owners and professionals who are passionate about the conservation of Winnipeg’s built heritage,” Cindy Tugwell, executive director of Heritage Winnipeg, said in a release.

The winner of the Institutional Heritage Conservation Award was the University of Manitoba Administration Building at 66 Chancellors Circle.

Park Alleys at 730 Osborne St. received the Commercial Heritage Conservation Award.

The Heritage Sustainability Award went to All Saints Anglican Church and West Broadway Commons at 521 Broadway and 167 Colony St.

The Friends of West Kildonan Library received the Distinguished Service Award.

“These projects help ensure our built heritage is vibrant, well maintained, economically viable and serving the community for generations to come,” Tugwell said.
