WINNIPEG, MAN. – Asbestos abatement work has closed the stairway that leads from the exterior street level courtyard in front of 201 Portage Avenue in Winnipeg until mid-October.
Water infiltration repairs will also take place, according to a news release.
The courtyard may still be accessed by entering 201 Portage Avenue and taking the escalators in the front lobby.
People can also cross at the pedestrian crosswalk 200 feet west of 201 Portage Avenue at Notre Dame Avenue to reach the courtyard, the release states.
