This week Journal of Commerce staff writer Russell Hixson has a special podcast focused on HeroWork, an initiative driven by Vancouver Island artist and author Paul Latour to help charities renovate by bringing together skilled tradespeople, volunteers and companies.
Latour’s work has given construction professionals a chance to use their skills and experience to help the less fortunate but it also helps volunteers through what he terms “modern day barn raisings” that are more event than worksite.
HeroWork has done over $4 million of renovation and its scheduled is already booked well into 2021. For more information about the initiative go to herowork.com or follow their twitter feed at @Herowork.
