The projects supported through this agreement will be cost-shared with the territorial government, municipalities and other partners. The federal government is allocating 75 per cent of eligible expenditures for projects in the territories and for projects with Indigenous partners.
Among the spending allocations are the following: $8.3 million for Yellowknife’s public transit system; $208.2 million in green infrastructure including safe drinking water for citizens; $26.1 million towards community, culture and recreation infrastructure; and $328 million to support projects in rural and northern communities.
