MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — EllisDon has appointed Clare Ashbee as its new vice-president of sustainable building solutions.
Ashbee has been with EllisDon for just over a year, working with the capital and international teams.
She has a background in consulting, structured financing and banking gained from international firms including Investec Bank in Toronto as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers in London, England, states a release issued by EllisDon.
She also has experience originating and closing large scale energy, transportation, waste and social infrastructure projects.
Ashbee brings a wealth of international development experience having lived and worked in four continents and held positions at the Aga Khan Foundation and the African Development Bank.
In 2015, Ashbee was nominated for the Canadian Women in Infrastructure Emerging Leader Award, adds the release.
“The focus on sustainability is not simply about being a good corporate citizen, it is about managing risk over the long term,” said Ashbee in a statement.
“Our goal is not just to help our clients understand these risks but more specifically work with our colleagues across EllisDon to provide them with deliverable, cost effective solutions which will help mitigate these risks.”
