Work is progressing on the tower and townhomes of the Empire Midtown mixed-use development on Eglinton Avenue West in Toronto. Empire Communities is the developer/general contractor for the 16-storey, 219-unit building with seven townhomes, three levels of underground parking and ground floor retail. The building will also have an entertainment and lounge area, private dining room, a fitness and yoga area, guest suites and an outdoor terrace. The project was designed by Richmond Architects Ltd. and Tanner Hill Associates Inc. is the interior designer. Consultants are: Jablonsky, Ast & Partners (structural); SCS Consulting Group Ltd. (civil); Trace Engineering Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); and Alexander Budrevics & Associates (landscape). Subtrades include Summit Forming Ltd.
