HAMILTON, ONT. — EllisDon has donated space at its modular facility in Hamilton’s Stoney Creek community to help Hamilton food banks during the COVID-19 crunch.
With 28,000 food hampers arriving in Hamilton to be distributed by Hamilton Food Share and the Emergency Food Networks, EllisDon Modular agreed to provide 10,000 square feet of free storage space to accommodate overcapacity needs.
“We love to help the communities that we work and build in,” said Xavier Toby, director of ED Modular in a statement. “Donating our space to support Hamilton’s food banks was an easy decision as every little bit counts during these tough times.”
Partners in the venture with ED Modular are Feed Ontario, Hamilton Food Share and the City of Hamilton.
