TORONTO—Five teams recently unveiled design concepts for the National Monument to Canada’s Mission in Afghanistan, which will be built in Ottawa.
The structure, located on the east side of Booth Street, across the street from the Canadian War Museum, will recognize the commitment and sacrifice of Canadians who served in Afghanistan and those who provided support at home. It is slated to be completed in 2024.
Canadians are invited to provide feedback on the finalist designs in an online survey until June 9. The jury will consider the survey responses in selecting the winning design, which is expected to be announced this fall.
