Altus Group reveals cybersecurity incident

Altus Group Limited announced this morning that it determined yesterday it had experienced a cybersecurity incident impacting some of its information technology systems. A statement said the company took immediate action to activate its cybersecurity protocols, is notifying authorities, and has engaged with cybersecurity experts who are assisting to resolve the incident. A client business continuity protocol has been implemented. Updates will be provided as the situation progresses and a further update will be provided on its website by 4 p.m. EDT today. 

 

NYX Capital sells Brampton project 

NYX Capital Corp. of Toronto announced today it has sold its Henderson Townhomes project in Brampton, Ont. Purchase price and buyer have not been disclosed. The 374,000-square-foot residential development, located near downtown Brampton, includes 152 stacked townhomes and 250 apartment units. The project is expected to break ground this summer. 

 

Le Havre Paulois seniors project launched in Saint-Paul

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation announced this morning that construction has begun on Havre Paulois, a 20-unit affordable housing project for seniors with a slight loss of autonomy in Saint-Paul, Que. The $4.6-million project is spearheaded by Le Havre Paulois with financial support from the CMHC and the Societe d’habitation du Quebec. The first tenants are expected in June 2022.  

 

ULI Toronto hosts collaborative procurement webinar

ULI Toronto has announced it will host a webinar on Collaborative Contracting at noon on June 28. Collaborative contracting project delivery models such as Alliance and Integrated Project Delivery have shown success in delivering complex infrastructure projects in the U.K., Australia and the U.S.    

 

Boralex signs agrivoltaism agreement

Quebec-based global renewable energy developer Boralex and agrivoltaism proponent Sun’Agri of France today announced they are joining forces to develop agrivoltaics in France and Europe by designing new solar power plants that help protect farms from challenging weather conditions. A statement explained using solar louvres programmed to meet plants’ ideal conditions can help manage available sunlight or shade. The new partnership consists of a 10-year collaboration framework.
