TORONTO—Diamond and Alterra have announced the launch of a new 40-storey condo development, branded as Celeste, at Richmond and George Streets in lower-east downtown Toronto.
The property represents the last significant redevelopment site on the block, stated a release. The tower was designed by Sweeney and Co. Architects and offers inset balconies for every suite.
At street level, a heritage facade honours the site’s history as a former bird seed factory featuring descriptive panels, decorative bird installations and descriptive sidewalk art alongside retail.
Amenities will include 18,000 square feet of joint spaces including a 40th-floor rooftop lounge that is a co-working space by day, two party rooms, private dining areas with barbecues, dog run, a family zone, outdoor play, fitness and stretch areas, and a fitness studio with space for yoga, cardio and weights.
Suites are offered in one-bedroom up to three-bedroom plus den and suite mixes.
