ST. PAUL, MINN.—Cory Schubert of Big-D Construction has been promoted to senior vice-president/managing director at the midwest office in St. Paul, Minn. and Tim Callahan will be stepping up as co-leader of the group.
Schubert’s predecessor, Chris Grzybowski, joined Big-D Signature in Park City last month.
Callahan joined Big-D Midwest in May 2021 as part of a long-term plan to replace retiring vice-president of project development, Ken Braun, and assume a portion of the operational duties upon Grzybowski’s move to Big-D Signature.
In the new role, Schubert, who has 20 years of experience in the construction industry, will be responsible for the overall performance of Big-D Midwest, which includes managing the annual financial goals, employee career growth, safety and client retention.
“Tim and Cory have a long history dating back to their home state of Iowa where they worked in the construction industry together. I am pleased to reunite the two and have them work side by side as co-leaders of our Midwest office at a time when it is poised to surpass $200 million in revenue annually,” said Troy Thompson, chief operating officer for Big-D Companies, in a statement.
