TORONTO — Ontario-based Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to build a new coastal resort in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Four Seasons will be working with Saudi-based investment firm Midad Real Estate in the development of the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jeddah at the Corniche, scheduled to open in 2024, stated a release.
The project will be located within the Corniche District, on the Red Sea, and will feature 269 guest rooms and suites, 21 serviced apartments for short- and long-term stays and 64 private residences including two penthouses. The serviced apartments will be available in two- and three-bedroom configurations starting at 1,250 square feet.
Skidmore, Owings & Merrill will lead the architecture and Richmond International the interior design.
Amenities will include multiple restaurants with terraces for open-air dining, an outdoor shisha lounge, a cigar lounge, meeting and event space totalling 443,055 square feet, separate pools for men and women, fitness centres, spas and children’s play areas.
In addition to amenities available from the adjoining hotel, homeowners will have exclusive access to a private residents’ lounge, outdoor terrace, fitness centres and valet service, overseen by a director of residences. Private residences will range from one to five bedrooms and 3,230 to 11,500 square feet.
Four Saudi currently operates the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre in Saudi Arabia. Coming up are the Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah and a collection of other projects soon to be announced.
