Rebar work moves along at the site of the former Capitol movie theatre that will be incorporated into the new Capitol Residences on Yonge Street in Toronto.
The project, by Westdale Properties along with Madison Group, will consist of one 14-storey, 146-suite building with four levels of underground parking, retail and a new park. Amenities include a guest suite, gym with private workout areas, pet spa, golf simulator room, social club and a lounge with a double-sided fireplace that connects to an outdoor space. The project was designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects and Turner Fleischer Architects. Consultants are: Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural); Hammerschlag & Joffe Inc (electrical); McIntosh Perry (mechanical); Fabian Papa & Partners (civil); Studio Munge (interior); and The MBTW Group (landscape).
