Construction and assembly of the longest, tallest and fastest launch roller-coaster in the country is in the final stretch with Canada’s Wonderland reporting AlpenFury’s track and towering columns are coming together.

Previously, ride foundations were installed and modifications were being made to Wonder Mountain, including structural steel and changes to the “skin of the mountain.” When complete, AlpenFury will feature 105 track pieces, plus a transfer track. The coaster will span 1,000 metres across the park, reaching speeds of 115 km/h, flipping and twisting through nine inversions. That is the most of any launch coaster in North America. The ride was designed by Premier Rides and will be the 19th roller-coaster at the park. It is anticipated for completion later this spring.
