Council of Ontario Construction Association seeks new VP policy

The Council of Ontario Construction Associations (COCA) is seeking a Vice-President, Policy & Government Relations.

TORONTO

The Council of Ontario Construction Associations (COCA) is seeking a Vice-President, Policy & Government Relations.

After almost five years in the post, David Zurawel is leaving COCA.

“Are we ever sorry to see David go,” said COCA president Ian Cunningham.

His resignation is effective Apr. 13 and Cunningham hopes to have the position filled by mid-May or June.

“He’s come into work every day 115 per cent ready to go to work and we’re going to miss him,” said Cunningham.

COCA is looking for someone with a sound understanding of Ontario’s legislative processes, government decision making and finances, knowledge of the province’s occupational health and safety system and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.

COCA is a federation of 30 construction associations whose more than 10,000 contractor members operate in the industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) and heavy civil sectors of the construction industry.
