Ehren Cory named new IO president and CEO

TORONTO — Infrastructure Ontario’s (IO) board of directors has announced the appointment of Ehren Cory as the new president and CEO of Infrastructure Ontario.

Cory has served as a member of IO’s executive since December 2012, most recently leading the division responsible for delivering major public infrastructure projects such as hospitals, courthouses, roads and public transit.

Prior to joining IO, Cory worked for 15 years as a management consultant.

As a partner at McKinsey & Company, he spearheaded the infrastructure and public sector practices and worked with clients in the energy, mining and public sectors on capital investment programs and strategies.

He replaces Bert Clark in the top position. Clark resigned last fall to head up the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario.

"IO’s board of directors is very confident in Mr. Cory’s leadership skills, public sector experience and knowledge of infrastructure and real estate," said Linda Robinson, chair of the board of directors, in a media statement.

"IO’s renewed leadership will continue to successfully create partnerships to deliver major public infrastructure projects, provide loans to support public infrastructure and manage government real estate."

In addition, IO has announced Johanne Brossard, Kathy Milsom and Deb Barrett as newly appointed members of IO’s board of directors. Their skills and experience in finance, real estate, engineering and accounting will be an asset to the board, explains the release.
