WATERLOO, ONT. — Ontario is investing in improvements to a local bridge in the Township of Wilmot. Critical upgrades will be made to the Holland Mills Road Bridge with the construction of a two-lane structure, a release from the province indicates. The township will receive up to $1.19 million to support the project.
The Township of Wilmot is one of 55 communities that will receive support from the province through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF). Ontario is investing up to $60 million through the 2016 OCIF Top-Up Application Component for these communities.
OCIF supports projects in municipalities with a population of less than 100,000 as of the 2011 census, and municipalities located in northern or rural Ontario.
