Steel work continues for the York Community Centre on Black Creek Drive in Toronto, Ont.
Bondfield Construction Co. Ltd. is the general contractor for the two-storey facility that will have two pools, a gymnasium, fitness centre, a pre-school room and multi-purpose rooms. The owner is the City of Toronto and completion has been scheduled for early 2015. The project was designed by Perkins + Will Canada and consultants are: Yolles, a CH2M HILL company (structural); MMM Group (civil); Smith + Andersen (mechanical); Mulvey & Banani International Inc. (electrical); Enermodal Engineering Ltd.; CH2M HILL Canada Limited (environmental) and Fleisher Ridout Partnership Inc. (landscape). Subcontractors include: BBM Excavating; Mirage Steel Ltd.; Dufferin Concrete; Forma-Con (concrete forming); Forma Finish (concrete finishing); Pipe All Plumbing & Heating Ltd.; Feldt Electric Inc.; General Sprinklers; Sherwood Windows.
