SAULT STE. MARIE, ONT. — To mark the 30th anniversary of the first heritage conference in 1988, this year’s conference will return to the city where it began, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
For years the local organizing committee has been planning and organizing opportunities for members to learn and explore the region’s heritage assets, local heritage sites and venues including the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, the Heritage Discovery Centre and the Algoma Conservation Building, states a newsletter issued by the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario.
The main venue will be the Delta Sault Ste. Marie Waterfront Hotel and Conference Centre. Visit the conference website at www.ontarioheritageconference.ca for more information.
