TORONTO — The Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA), OGCA members and the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) have partnered with Alliance Creative to deliver 10,000 surgical masks for health care workers to Ontario hospitals.
Alliance Creative Marketing acquired the surgical masks and appealed to clients to come together to donate to priority healthcare workers through the Ministry of Health and Long–Term Care, indicates a release.
“We are doing everything we can as contractors and as an association to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect our frontline workers,” said Clive Thurston, president of the OGCA. “Liza Tam (Alliance Marketing) presented us with an opportunity, and Remo General Contracting, Dineen Construction, Gen-Pro, the League of Champions and OSPE stepped up under the leadership of Alliance Creative Marketing when it mattered most.”
OSPE also views its contribution during this crisis as an extension of its mandate to lead, care, and unite.
“In this time of crisis, we believe the leadership that the voice of engineers can provide is more important than ever,” said OSPE CEO Sandro Perruzza. “In this turbulent atmosphere, OSPE and has been actively working with industry and government partners towards finding solutions that will mitigate the health and economic impact of COVID-19 for engineers and the entire construction and design community.”
