Mechanical Contractors Association celebrates Tania Johnston

Mechanical Contractors Association celebrates Tania Johnston

OTTAWA – The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada is celebrating CEO Tania Johnston for her 25 years of service to the mechanical contracting industry in Canada.

“I’m very proud to be offering congratulations and gratitude to Tania for her remarkable 25 years with MCA Canada,” said Brad Mason, MCAC president and chair, in a statement. “Her hard work, humility and commitment to excellence is driving the growth and success of MCA Canada, and we are fortunate to have her leading the association. On behalf of MCAC, we look forward to many more years of excellence together.”

After beginning her role in the education arm of the association, Johnston worked her way through several roles before her promotion to Chief Executive Officer in March 2020. Her promotion also marked the first female CEO for the association in its more than 100-year history.

She remains a committed and passionate advocate for middle management education, the MCAC Student Chapter program, and efforts by the association to create a more welcoming and inclusive mechanical contracting sector.

“As a leader, she is guiding the next generation of MCA Canada staff forward, as the association continues to be recognized as one of Canada’s foremost trade contractor associations,” the release reads.
