CIMA+ merges with BSEI Municipal Consulting Engineers

LAVAL, QUE.—CIMA+, one of Canada’s largest private consulting engineering firms, and BSEI Municipal Consulting Engineers have joined forces.

The merger was announced Aug. 31. BSEI is an Alberta-based company that specializes in providing services in all areas of municipal engineering to the private sector, rural and urban municipalities and government agencies.

"We are proud to join forces with BSEI who has built a strong client-base in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan," said Francois Plourde, president and CEO of CIMA+, in a release issued by the company. "This merger is aligned with our strategic plan to expand in Western Canada in engineering sectors where we have confirmed expertise."

Since 1977, BSEI has contributed to the improvement of municipal and institutional infrastructure on behalf of numerous private and public clients in Western Canada. BSEI has worked diligently for those clients to ensure quality and cost effective systems, and to positively influence their communities and the quality of services provided to their residents, the statement indicated.
