OEL Projects Ltd. is based in Western Canada and provides engineering, procurement, construction and management engineering services primarily to the oil and gas industry while McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd. is a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm, notes a media statement.

The expanded firm will feature a combined staff of 500 professional and technical staff in nine locations across the country.

"By combining our two firms together, we will be in a strong position for future growth, particularly in Western Canada," said Shankar Nandiwada, president and CEO of OEL and president and COO – Western Canada for McIntosh Perry. "It’s exciting that OEL will, through the McIntosh Perry platform, be able to bring its oil and gas clients the exceptional services of McIntosh Perry’s environmental, hazardous materials and remediation teams."

Founded in 1972, OEL manages projects of varied scope and size from inception to completion for companies in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. It is headquartered in Calgary.

McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd. provides services for every stage of a project, including surveying, environmental and geotechnical engineering, building science, contract administration, project management, municipal engineering and land development engineering and planning.

The enlarged firm will have staff in Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, Perth, Pembroke and Oakville in Ontario, as well as Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver.
