Avison Young adopts UN sustainability protocol

Toronto-based real estate research firm Avison Young today announced it has adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals alignment protocol. In addition, the firm’s Global Investment Management group has become a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. Both steps are featured in Avison Young’s new 2019 Global Citizenship Report.

 

WSIB annual meeting set for Oct. 1

Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) holds its annual general meeting online starting at 10 a.m. Thursday. The agenda will include a discussion of premium rates for 2021, the WSIB’s response to the global pandemic and next steps in service improvement.

 

Ryerson releases Toronto cycling infrastructure report

City Building Ryerson today released new research quantifying the injury impacts of cycling infrastructure along Bloor-Danforth in Toronto. Research for Lane Change: Safer Cycling Infrastructure in Toronto was led by Dr. Anne Harris of Ryerson’s School of Occupational and Public Health. Harris will give a talk on the report at 11 a.m. tomorrow.

 

SNC-Lavalin to consult with Manchester airports

SNC-Lavalin this morning announced it will provide Airport Advisory Services to the Manchester Airport Group (MAG) in the U.K. The firm’s Engineering, Design and Project Management business will be supporting MAG across all three of its airports and is one of three consultancies that have been awarded a place on the Airport Advisory Services framework lots.
