RAIC hosts Lives Lived webinar

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, in partnership with the Black Architects and Interior Designers Association (BAIDA), today presents a virtual panel discussion titled Lived Experiences in Architecture, featuring members of the BAIDA executive committee discussing their careers in architecture. The event starts at 1 p.m. ET. 

 

Wilkinson appoints impact assessment review council

Federal Minister of Environment and Climate Change Jonathan Wilkinson today announced he is establishing the Minister’s Advisory Council on impact assessmentto be tasked with reviewing the first year of operations of the Impact Assessment ActThe council will advise the minister on whether the new impact assessment regime is achieving its intended objectives to be efficient, transparent, predictable, capable of identifying issues early in the process, and support decision-making in the public interest. 

 

Osler Hoskin & Harcourt review infrastructure programs

Lexology today posted an article by Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP offering a trans-Canadian view of government spending intended to stimulate the Canadian construction and infrastructure sector. The review starts with the federal government’s Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program and its temporary COVID-19 Resilience stream and the COVID-19 Flexibilities transfer program. 

 

Carbonleo hosts Royalmount sessions

Carbonleo has announced a series of virtual information sessions for its Royalmount mixed-use project in Montreal with a focus on the residential component. The sessions are Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. and Jan. 6 and 20.
