407 earnings plummeted in 2020 

The Ontario toll-highway firm 407 International Inc. yesterday announced revenues of $908.6 million for 2020, compared to $1.505 billion for 2019.  Earnings in 2020 before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were 56.5 per cent of 2019 earningsamounting to $739.9 million for 2020 compared to $1.309 billion for 2019. The company reported net income of $148.0 million for 2020, compared to net income of $575.7 million for 2019.  

 

SNC-Lavalin schedules earnings call 

SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. has announced it will hold a conference call to review results for its fourth quarter 2020 on March 9 at 8:30 a.m. EST. Participants will be president and CEO Ian Edwards and CFO Jeff Bell will be presiding.  

 

Ledcor appoints Zirnhelt as new EVP of construction 

The Ledcor Group of Companies yesterday announced that Russell Zirnhelt has been appointed EVP of construction and leader of its Canadian Building Construction DivisionZirnhelt joined Ledcor in 2010, and most recently served as chief business officer for Ledcor Building Construction. Peter Hrdlitschka, long-time president of the Construction division, will begin his retirement while continuing to support the division as Ledcor construction’s senior adviser. 

 

Feds support Montreal accessibility upgrades 

The federal government yesterday announced $88,000 in funding to support the construction of a ramp and an accessible washroom at Montreal’s Centre d’aide et de reinsertion (CARE), a local organization that helps the homeless. The renovations will provide better access to services for persons with disabilities. 

 

RESAAS joins forces with Webtalk 

RESAAS Services Inc.Vancouver-based technology platform for the real estate industry, yesterday announced a new partnership with Webtalk, a global data technology company. Webtalk, which has over seven million users, is a networking platform for personal and business relationships. The two platforms will promote each other’s services to their respective members and RESAAS will be compensated with referral fees for agents that join the Webtalk network.
