Ontario launches Occupational Safety and Health Day

Montreal signs to use Aidi construction management software

The City of Montreal this morning announced it has selected Aidi construction project management software as the platform it will use to manage all of its projects for the next seven years. The software was developed by Montreal-based digital development firm Osedea, which previously signed deals with the Societe Quebecoise des infrastructure and the City of Longueuil to use Aidi to oversee their construction projects. 

 

Quebec investors to announce affordable housing plan

Quebec’s Fonds de solidarite FTQ will hold a media conference to announce a newly formed group of investors for the construction, acquisition and renovation of 1,500 affordable housing units in the province. The event will take place today at 10 a.m. Others in attendance will include representatives of Ivanhoe Cambridge and the Lucie and Andre Chagnon Foundation. 

 

TransAlta signs deal with Pembina on wind project

TransAlta Corporation announced today that it has entered into a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Pembina Pipeline Corporation for the offtake of 100 megawatts from its proposed 130-megawatt Garden Plain Wind Power Project, to be built 30 kilometres north of Hanna, Alta. The project will consist of 26 Siemens-Gamesa SGRE SG-145 turbines with construction expected to begin in the fall of 2021, and with a target delivery in the second half of 2022. TransAlta will construct, own and operate the facility. Total construction capital of the project is estimated at $195 million.
