TORONTO — The Ontario Construction Secretariat’s (OCS) board of directors has announced the appointment of Brian Barron as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective Feb. 4.
“Brian brings a wealth of leadership experience and a strong track record of driving innovation and excellence, with expertise in the ICI sector, health and safety, and government and stakeholder relations,” states a post by OCS on LinkedIn.
Brian most recently served as the senior manager for the construction health and safety program at the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. He provided enforcement direction to health and safety inspectors across the province.
He has also held leadership roles in the ICI construction sector and previously owned and operated his own construction business.
Barron replaces Robert Bronk.
