ULI to release U.S. emerging trends report Oct. 14

CHICAGO—The Urban Land Institute and PwC have announced they will release their 2022 Emerging Trends in Real Estate report at the ULI’s annual fall meeting scheduled for Chicago Oct. 11 to 14.

The report, to be released on the final day of the conference, ranks the hottest U.S. housing markets and offers forecasts on housing affordability, infrastructure spending and retail growth.

Keynote speakers will include FUBU CEO Daymond John of Shark Tank and economist Austan Goolsbee, former chair of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Barack Obama and professor at the University of Chicago.

The conference will be held in person with streaming also provided.

Panel experts will discuss urban challenges including how cities can better withstand climate change and extreme weather; how to alleviate the affordable housing shortage; how to address racial inequities in housing and urban development; how the office and retail sectors continue to evolve amid the pandemic; and why people are flocking to smaller cities.
