TORONTO — A Request for Proposals (RFP) has been issued to shortlisted teams for the new Peel Memorial Hospital Phase 2 Redevelopment project.
The RFP was issued by Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and the William Osler Health System (Osler). The project will be delivered through IO’s progressive design-build (target price) contract model.
The new hospital will increase health care capacity in the community and address the need for more specialized care for patients requiring longer hospital stays, indicates a release. It will also include a purpose-built emergency department to ensure additional capacity.
Teams were shortlisted through a Request for Qualification process that began in May 2024 and are now invited to respond to the RFP. The teams and prime team members are:

The teams will be preparing proposals that detail how they will deliver the project. The team selected will then work collaboratively with IO and Osler during a development phase, expected to begin in 2025. Once the development phase is completed, Osler may sign a construction contract with the successful team to deliver the project, states the release.
