The Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating award for outstanding contribution to the plumbing industry was bestowed on Carey LaRose of Alberta Municipal Affairs.

The 6th Joseph K. Seidner Award was presented to LaRose at the Chairman’s Annual Banquet during CIPH’s 74th Annual Business Conference in Banff.

“I am deeply honoured to receive this award bearing the name of a good friend Joe Seidner,” LaRose stated. “I was privileged to have served with him on various technical committees and am deeply touched to have my name added to this prestigious award.”

Approved in 2000, the award is in honour of its first recipient, the late Joe Seidner of Brady & Seidner. It acknowledges commitment of plumbing industry volunteers who dedicate their time, knowledge and expertise in developing safer plumbing codes and standards through CSA International Standard writing committees and the Canadian Advisory Council of Plumbing.

LaRose has been with Alberta Municipal Affairs for 28 years and is a member of the Canadian Advisory Council of Plumbing. He also serves on ten CSA technical committees.
