Helmets to Hardhats seeks data on success stories

Helmets to Hardhats seeks data on success stories

OTTAWA — The Helmets to Hardhats program is asking Canadian trade unions to help gather information to document construction workers who have made the transition from the military.

The plea from Helmets to Hardhats executive director James Hogarth is asking for the assistance from unions, associations and supporters across the country including members of Canada’s Building Trade Unions, provincial councils, business managers and training co-ordinators. Information about Known Successful Transitions should be uploaded to an online Helmets to Hardhats spreadsheet, Hogarth requests in the organization’s April newsletter.

“Completing our Known Successful Transition spreadsheet will ensure our industry’s collective efforts to better provide second-career opportunities to transitioning military members are recognized and celebrated,” stated Hogarth.

Information should be uploaded here.
