TORONTO — A worker at a Toronto construction jobsite was seriously injured in a fall from scaffolding on Monday afternoon (Dec. 4) and rushed to the hospital.
A Toronto police spokesperson said there was a call received at 3 p.m. about an incident at a jobsite on Shaw Street, south of Dupont Street. Police found a worker lying on a floor and bleeding profusely after a fall from a scaffold. The worker was rushed to a trauma centre with what were termed life-threatening injuries.
There has not been an update on the worker’s injuries. A Ministry of Labour inspector attended the scene and an investigation is continuing.
