‘No Handshake’ policy encouraged at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, IFPE

‘No Handshake’ policy encouraged at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, IFPE

LAS VEGAS — CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE show management are encouraging a “No Handshake” policy onsite at this year’s show in Las Vegas.

“No Handshake” buttons and stickers will be distributed at the show. In addition, large signage will be visible throughout the show to remind everyone of hygiene best practices and guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Hand sanitizer will be available in all registration areas, media rooms, information stands, the international trade centre, meeting/education spaces, workforce and VIP areas. Further, staff will also be cleaning those areas more frequently, especially tables, keyboards/screens and door handles. Organizers have also confirmed hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the grounds.

“Rest assured, we are adhering to all guidance and recommended safety measures issued by the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as state and local health organizations,” said Dana Wuesthoff, CONEXPO-CON/AGG show director. “We have also been working with the Las Vegas Convention Center, the airport authority and area hotels and resorts to coordinate appropriate safety procedures.”

Organizers report no major exhibit cancellations. Many top exhibitors have been onsite for weeks moving in equipment and setting up their booth space.
