TORONTO — Canadian commercial real estate firm Morguard has announced a donation of 600 jars of honey, 300 bars of soaps, 300 containers of lip balm and 150 candles to Toronto social service agencies Redwood and Daily Bread.
The gifts were developed from the beehives and bee gardens located on the rooftops of three of Morguard’s properties in Toronto downtown: 77 Bloor St. W., 65 Overlea Blvd. and 200 Yorkland Blvd. The rooftop bee environments reflect Morguard’s “leadership in environmentally responsible initiatives in commercial real estate, a strong sustainability program and its alignment with partner Alveole’s vision that contributes to pollinator health,” stated a recent release.
