Cembrane joins forces with Montreal’s Ovivo

MONTREAL—Montreal-based Ovivo Inc. has announced that Cembrane A/S of Copenhagen has joined the Ovivo group.

Ovivo is a global provider of water and wastewater treatment equipment, technology and systems. Cembrane produces a silicon carbide (SIC) flat sheet membrane used by water and wastewater treatment operators in both the municipal and industrial markets.

A Nov. 1 release stated that Ovivo has designated Cembrane SIC membranes as its preferred membrane technology for the future.

The partnership between Cembrane and Ovivo started in September 2018 when Ovivo signed an exclusive licensing agreement and took a minority participation in Cembrane. As part of Ovivo, Cembrane will operate under its own brand name and will continue to be led by Lasse Andreassen as CEO.
