CIPH set for fundraising gala supporting Habitat for Humanity

CIPH set for fundraising gala supporting Habitat for Humanity

TORONTO—The Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) will be hosting a fundraising gala for Habitat for Humanity on March 22 at the InterContinental Toronto Centre.

CIPH has been partnering with Habitat for Humanity Canada since 1994 and since then its members have raised funds, donated products and built homes in support of their mission to build affordable housing and promote home ownership as a means of breaking the cycle of poverty.

CIPH members have contributed more than $16 million in cash and products and is one of Habitat’s largest contributing partners, indicates a release.

There are three ways to donate: provide new products and product certificates for products that can be used in Habitat homes across the country; a donation of cash enables CIPH to sponsor community builds; and inventory, through the Habitat ReStore, overstock and extra products can help build homes.

Since 1994, CIPH has put on a fundraising gala event every two years, run events in communities across the country, host a major donor program and began a certificate program that allows Habitat Canada build staff to redeem building products at recognized CIPH wholesaler distributor locations, adds the release.

In the 25 years since they began their partnership members have sponsored 14 home builds in every province and one territory.
