Toronto-based Antamex International, Inc., a privately-held supplier of curtain wall systems and engineering design services for commercial, institutional and multi-storey condominium construction markets, has been purchased by a U.S. company.

SANTA MONICA, Calif.

Toronto-based Antamex International, Inc., a privately-held supplier of curtain wall systems and engineering design services for commercial, institutional and multi-storey condominium construction markets, has been purchased by a U.S. company.

Antamex will become the cornerstone of Oldcastle Glass Envelope, which manufactures a range of architectural glass, operable windows, storefronts, doors and curtain wall products designed to close the building envelope.

In a news release, Oldcastle states that “by narrowing the number of vendors required in building construction projects, it will allow architects, developers and glazing contractors to reduce inherent risks, minimize costs, and close the building envelope more quickly and efficiently.”

“By virtue of its extensive engineering design capability, outstanding market reputation and international project portfolio, Antamex participates in commercial construction projects from their earliest stage,” said Ted Hathaway, CEO, Oldcastle Glass.

“Oldcastle Glass provides Antamex with significant financial resources and substantial capabilities in high-performance architectural glass products and services throughout North America.,” said Elio Toffoli, Antamex’s current president and CEO, who will continue to lead the company after the acquisition.

“This partnership will strengthen our company as we extend our geographic reach, enhance our product offerings, and bring greater value to our customers.”
